Globe Quintet returned to Ardington on 20th October 2012 for another themed fund raising concert for charity. This featured a fantastic arrangement of Peter and the Wolf for Quintet with narrator plus favourites from Walton, Debussy, Percy Grainger, Agay and Arnold. Not only was the concert fantastically attended, it repeated the successful Ardington formula of TWO intervals featuring wine and food in each! A splendid idea. The concert raised a sizeable amount for the charity Water Aid - www.wateraid.org/uk/

We were very surprised and happy to have an un-announced visit from the composer of our last piece, Paul Patterson, who not only attended the rehearsal and concert but also sampled the local lunchtime cuisine itself with us all after the performance!
